FAQ – FRICKLEY – APRIL 2013

directions How to get to Frickley – Frickley Hall is located near the village of Hooton Pagnell, Doncaster, UK, approximately 15 minutes off the A1(M) and easily accessible by car.

The event will be signed from the B6422 at Hooton Pagnell.

From the North and South A1(M) – exit at junction 37 onto the A635 towards Barnsley. After 1 mile turn right towards Brodsworth. After 1.5 miles turn left onto the B6422. Follow this for 2 miles and turn right at the T-junction. Look out for signs as you enter Hooton Pagnell.

The postcode for your sat nav/route planner is: DN5 7BX (Which will bring you just short of the entrance if approaching from the West.)

Please note: If arriving by Taxi or being Dropped off you will have to walk from the main road. There is NO exit from the car parking until 12.00 Noon.

car parking Adjacent parking for you and your family and friends is free. Spectators are more than welcome to provide support, cheers and jeers! to the runners. We do however ask that you share transport where possible.

the course The Pain Barrier at Frickley is a 10km mud race set amongst 250 acres of parkland and a large 4×4 off-road track. The course twists and turns across a variety of terrain so you’ll find yourself running along muddy tracks and open fields, through woodland, across ponds and water obstacles and tackling steep hills.

9.00am – Registration opens

10.30am – On the day entry closes

10.45am – Registration closes

10.45am – Runners begin to line up at the start

11.00am – The Pain Barrier Frickley starts!

1.30-2pm – Pain Barrier Prize Presentation

prizes Prizes will be presented to the first 3 female and first 3 male runners, 1st M/F Vet 40′s, 1st M/F Vet 50′s, as well as spot prizes.
entryCompetitors must be 18 or over on the day of the race. We regret that no exceptions can be made.

This is one of the TOUGHEST races out there – competitors should be medically able and properly trained.

Please note it is likely that we will have 2 Waves (this is dependant on the number of entrants).

Please select your preferred choice. (The second will be muddier – if you are after the prizes then select the  first wave.)

Please note that we will do our best to accommodate requests for certain waves if all your mates or team are already signed up. Of course we cannot guarantee that this will be possible.
